ENERGY CLEANSED factory sealed box of The Rider-Waite TAROT Deck. We energy cleanse and charge all our spirituality products with moon baths and smudging rituals. Energy cleansing is essential for tarot cards so that they can respond to you or person who owns the deck.

Instruction Booklet comes in the box with the cards.

The cards were drawn in 1909 by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. Smith's vibrant drawings transformed the standard tarot deck.

"A unique feature of the Rider-Waite deck, and one of the of the principal reasons for its enduring popularity, is that all of the cards, including the Minor Arcana, depict full scenes with figures and symbols. Prior to the Rider-Waite Tarot, the pip cards of almost all tarot decks were marked only with the arrangement of the suit signs -- swords, wands, cups, and coins, or pentacles. The pictorial images on all the cards allow interpretations without the need to repeatedly consult explanatory text. The innovative Minor Arcana, and Pamela Colman Smith's ability to capture the subtleties of emotion and experience have made the Rider-Waite Tarot a model for the designs of many tarot packs." -- (from The Encyclopedia of Tarot, Volume III)

Rider-Waite Tarot was named one of the Top Ten Tarot Decks of All Time by Aeclectic Tarot.

Resin is incense in its most pure form, top of the line in incense burning. Resins have been used for thousands of years right through to today in religious ceremonies by many religions and are also popular for the beautiful and pure scents they release. The scents released are fragrant, pure and intense so only a small amount is needed - so even a small bag will go farther than you think. You do not use these granules like 'normal' incense sticks or cones. You will need a heat resistant container and charcoal tablets to burn the granules over.

Myrrh Resin:
Since ancient times, myrrh resin has been used as an ingredient in incense and perfumes. It has a long history of folklore and spirituality in many ancient cultures, as it was used to anoint kings and scent the fabrics of pilgrims traveling to holy places. Myrrh gum resin is harvested from Commiphora myrrha, a low growing, desert tree that exudes a viscous yellow gum, which hardens into a reddish-brown resin. Myrrh resin can be employed in body care recipes, incense blends, and macerated as an extract.

With its smoky, earthy scent, myrrh has a long history as a favorite among all cultures going back to its first discovery in the far reaches of time. A native to Ethiopia and Somalia, it has been used as long ago as 3000 BCE by the Egyptians in embalming, and as an incense burned during cremations and funerals to disguise any foul odors up through the 15th century. Myrrh is said to be one of the key ingredients in the mythical Egyptian perfume Kyphi. It has also been used to anoint kings, and scent fabrics for those traveling to holy places. Myrrh has had a great value throughout time; the Romans even valued it as much as gold, using it as security for monetary debts.

Frankincense Resin:
Frankincense resin is gathered by making incisions in the small, deciduous tree, Boswellia sacra. The yellow-hued pitch is often used as incense or in perfumery. Frankincense has been considered an herb of spirituality with lore dating back thousands of years. The aromatic resin can be used alone or blended into incense formulas.

Frankincense and the oil produced from it has been known for its magical powers and its ability to improve communication with the creator in the Middle East for thousands of years before it was made a gift to Christ by the Magi. There are over 52 references to it in the Bible. Egyptian records show a great many references to it including its use in cosmetics, perfumes and as an embalming agent. The harvest of gums and resins takes place during the dry season, as they are easily damaged by rain. A number of incisions are made into the bark, and the gum resins are allowed to ooze out and solidify for a few weeks. The harvesters then return to each tree to collect the resin. The resins are then transported to local villages where they are further dried in the shade. Frankincense is a member for the Burseraceae family.

Copal Resin:
Copal is a general name that describes the resinous substance exuded from a variety of tree genera. Typically, these trees come from tropical climates and their resin has historical uses by indigenous tribes in ceremonial settings. Our copal resin comes from Shorea sp. Copal is traditionally burned as incense.

More generally, the term copal describes resinous substances in an intermediate stage of polymerization and hardening between "gummier" resins and amber. The word copal is derived from the Nahuatl word copalli, meaning "incense". Copal has long been used in ancient Maya and Aztec ceremonies as a ritual offering to the gods. It is still used by a number of indigenous people in southern Mexico and Central America during sweat lodge ceremonies as well as sacred mushroom ceremonies. Copal is also found in East Africa and Indonesia. Ceremonially, the resin is placed on hot coals for spiritual cleansing.

Smudging:

Smudging ceremonies using herbs, resins, Palo Santo Wood and incense are a custom of many indigenous cultures throughout the world, including North American indigenous peoples. Traditionally used in rituals, ceremonies and for spiritual purification, house blessings and spiritual cleansing. The smoke is believed by many to cleanse either a space or the body and aura, drive away negative energy and help reconnect with mother earth. Make sure the room where you are smudging is well ventilated. Open all the doors and windows. This is essential to not only drive out the negative energies (provide them with a route out) but also as a health precaution. Do not use if you suffer from Asthma or have respiratory issues. Do not use near infants or young children or anyone who is or may be pregnant. Do not leave burning smudge unattended! If you are just starting out with smudging don't be too worried about which instructions are 'correct' or 'work best'. Do what works best for you and 'feels right’ for you. Your 'intention' is a key component of the ritual so be clear on what you want to achieve and keep that in mind as you perform the ritual. At the end of the ceremony make sure the stick is extinguished. You can crush the end in sand or dirt, place the cover of the pot over it or simply place the stick in the open water container. Just be sure the stick is extinguished before it is left.

Are your products and/or materials used natural or man-made?

We have a wide variety of products and materials, so here’s the best and simplest explanation: If it can naturally be found in the world, ours is natural. For example, all our crystals and gemstones are “natural” with a few exceptions:

Colored Agates – While the agate is natural and mined in Brazil, it does not naturally occur in the vibrant pinks, blues, purples, etc. that many of our agate products possess. These agates are effectively dyed each of these colors. However, the beautiful banding and patterns found in the agates ARE natural, simply brought out during the dyeing process.

Are your products and/or materials used natural or man-made?(continued)

Citrine - Unless stated otherwise, the citrine products offered are heat-treated amethyst. The vast majority of citrine available on the market is amethyst that has been treated with extreme heat to change the color from purple to the various shades of yellow and orange. Naturally occuring citrine is very pale and light in color, almost a tea-like yellow, and is much more expensive.

Red and Blue Goldstone – Goldstone is a man-made, albeit stunningly beautiful, stone. Nowhere in the world (at least on this planet) is this stone found in nature.

Birthday gift for my daughter. Arrived very quickly! Perfect gift. My younger daughter is quite jealous and I’m sure I’ll be ordering another for her soon!

Beautiful, complete set to get me started on my new journey. I love it all!

Everything was so nicely packaged. The cards are a cardboard/cardstock kind of material and the holographic part looks cool. The only thing I will say is that the tarot guide is not very beginner friendly and not that informative. The guidebook is kind of useless and I've been doing more research on tarot online as opposed to using that. Because of that, it has been hard to connect to the deck, even after clearing it.
